Coolie Storm Builds-  Rajinikanth Mega Entertainer Gears Up for Independence Day Clash

The countdown has begun for one of the most talked-about clashes of this year Rajinikanth “Coolie” vs. Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR “War 2”.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie brings together a power packed cast featuring Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra and more. The film has already taken South and overseas markets by storm with record breaking pre sales in several international territories. In fact, Coolie is miles ahead of War 2 in overseas.

Hindi Market Tells a Different Story

While the South and overseas numbers are roaring the Hindi advance bookings tell a different tale. As of Mid Night August 11th, Coolie had sold around 14,322 tickets in leading multiplex chains for opening day (Hindi version) Industry buzz suggests the figure could touch 60,000 tickets before release and expected to a 7 to 9 crore Hindi opening.

However, War 2 remains the front runner in Hindi advances, commanding a stronger and best share of shows across the belt. Exhibitors say the gap is significant for now, but there’s a twist, if Coolie wins audience love on day one cinemas are ready to increase its show count from the very next day.
