War 2 Advance Booking – Good Start Before Independence Day Box Office Battle

The Independence Day weekend is almost here, and the stage is set for one of the biggest box office clashes of the year. However, War 2, despite its massive star power and connection to YRF’s Spy Universe, has started on a surprisingly slower note in advance bookings.

As of Monday, 11:59 PM, the film has sold 52,719 tickets across the top national multiplex chains — PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis — including their franchise cinemas.
Movie Max- @782 tickets
NY Cinemas @226 tickets

For a film of this scale, with huge expectations and a prime holiday release, these numbers are considered on the lower side. With two full days still left before release, there’s a crucial window for momentum to build. If bookings accelerate on Tuesday and Wednesday, War 2 could still score a massive opening. But if sales remain sluggish, the film’s day-one collections might land in the ₹39–41 crore nett range — solid, but below the sky-high expectations for a War sequel.

Adding to the picture, advance booking for the Hindi version in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has yet to open, which could provide a late boost when it does.

The question now is — can War 2 turn the tide in the final stretch and dominate the Independence Day box office showdown?
With intense buzz, loyal fans, and the promise of high-octane action, all eyes are on the next 48 hours.
