Salman Khan Wraps Ladakh Schedule of Battle of Galwan, All Set to Begin Mumbai Shoot

Salman Khan Wraps Ladakh Schedule of Battle of Galwan, All Set to Begin Mumbai Shoot. Detail

Salman Khan, one of the most bankable stars of Indian cinema, has wrapped up the first schedule of his ambitious war drama Battle of Galwan. The Ladakh leg went on for 45 days in extremely tough conditions, where the actor joined the unit for 15 days of intense shooting. The film has already built massive buzz, and the excitement is only rising as the production now shifts to Mumbai for its second schedule.

Shooting in Extreme Conditions

The Ladakh schedule was anything but easy. With freezing temperatures dropping to 2–3 degrees and low oxygen levels at high altitude, the team braved the most difficult part of filming. Salman himself continued to shoot despite minor injuries, proving once again his commitment to the project. After completing the Ladakh portion, the superstar will take a short break to recover before resuming in Mumbai next week.

Focus of the Mumbai Schedule

The next phase of shooting is expected to focus more on dramatic and emotional sequences, apart from some big action blocks. Large army set-ups and character-driven scenes will be filmed in controlled conditions, balancing out the raw outdoor visuals of Ladakh with a more cinematic indoor approach. The makers are reportedly planning to wrap the entire shoot by the end of 2025, keeping a 2026 release window in mind.

Trade View: Why Expectations Are High

As trade analysts, we strongly believe that Battle of Galwan could be a landmark film in Salman Khan’s career. While he has always ruled the box office with action entertainers, this film is expected to bring out a side of his acting last seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Trade trackers are confident that the patriotic theme, combined with Salman’s star power, will connect with audiences across metros and smaller towns alike.

Meeting with Rajnath Singh

An interesting development took place recently when Salman Khan met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. According to industry sources, the conversation was centered around ensuring that the film stays clear of any anti-China narrative. Salman reportedly assured the Minister that Battle of Galwan is not about targeting another country, but about paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers. This assurance helped clear any potential roadblocks in the making of the film.

Why the Film Matters

Battle of Galwan is inspired by the real-life Galwan Valley clash of 2020, a moment that stirred emotions across the country. By bringing this story to the big screen, the film aims to showcase bravery, resilience, and patriotism in a way that resonates with today’s generation. With its scale, subject, and Salman Khan at the center, the movie is being looked at as one of the most awaited releases in recent times.

With Ladakh behind him and Mumbai ahead, Salman Khan is on track to deliver one of the most talked-about films of his career. The buzz in the trade is clear: Battle of Galwan has all the ingredients to be both a box office success and a film that highlights Salman’s range as an actor.
