Maddock Films has officially put the much-anticipated sequel Cocktail 2 into motion, with National Award-winning actress Kriti Sanon headlining the cast. The project marks the return of director Homi Adajania to the franchise, over a decade after the original Cocktail (2012) charmed audiences with its blend of urban romance, friendship, and modern relationship drama.

Joining Kriti Sanon in lead roles are Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, pairing fresh Bollywood glamour with pan-India star power. Industry veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt are also on board, although their roles remain under wraps, sparking speculation about the film’s dramatic depth.

According to production insiders, filming for Cocktail 2 will begin this month i.e. August 2025, with a tentative theatrical release slated for 2026. The film will be produced under the Maddock Films  banner, known for its stylish, youth-centric stories, and written by Luv Ranjan, whose knack for contemporary romance narratives has made him a box office favourite. 


With the combination of a high-profile cast, a beloved director, and the stylish storytelling Luv Ranjan is known for, Cocktail 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of the 2026.
