  • Pune – 1,572 admits from 147 shows (stable, with strong family audience traction)

  • Bengaluru – 1,875 admits from 53 shows (excellent hold in a dubbed market)
  • Kolkata – 904 admits from 92 shows (healthy consistency)
  • Jaipur – 770 admits from 67 shows (Tier-2 cities continue to support)
  • Chandigarh – 178 admits from 30 shows (moderate turnout)
  • Ahmedabad – 231 admits from 98 shows (yet to pick pace)

📌 Total (PVR-INOX Hindi only): 19,837 admits from 2,745 shows

⚠️ Day 1 Box Office vs Day 2 Advances

  • Day 1 (Friday, Gandhi Jayanti Holiday): ~₹21 Cr nett (Hindi version) – an excellent opening fueled by strong advance sales (~82K tickets in PIC).
  • Day 2 (Saturday): ~25K admits booked so far – a marginal drop in advances, which is expected after a big holiday start. Trade analysts note that if walk-ins remain strong, the film should sustain very well over the weekend.

⚔️ Clash Factor With SSKTK
While Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari continues to pull urban multiplex crowds, Kantara: Chapter 1 has retained an edge in mass circuits and Tier-2 cities. In metros, both films are eating into each other’s share, but Kantara’s buzz remains stronger post-holiday.

🔮 Outlook
Despite the Gandhi Jayanti boost being behind it, the film has shown healthy hold in advance bookings for Day 2. If spot bookings remain robust, Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) could end its opening weekend at ₹80cr+ Cr nett in Hindi, setting up a strong base for long-term box office play.

Verdict
Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) has crossed 25K tickets in national chains for Day 2, sustaining well after its ₹21 Cr Hindi opening day. With a strong festive start already locked, the film is tracking towards a solid weekend performance.
