Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Forecast: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi Courtroom Drama Get a big release and Eyes on Good Weekend

Jolly LLB 3 box office forecast: Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer opens on 3370 screens with 12,350 shows. Check advance booking, distribution changes and opening day prediction. Details

The courtroom drama franchise Jolly LLB is back with its third chapter, reuniting Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi under the direction of Subhash Kapoor. The earlier two installments struck a chord with audiences by mixing humor with strong drama, and expectations are high once again.

The film has received a UA certificate from the censor board and comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 37 minutes. It will be distributed across India by STARINDIA/JIOSTAR/VIACOM 18 and is slated for a wide release on around 3370 screens with approx than 12,350 shows on the opening day.

Distribution and negotiations before release

Initially, the film was supposed to be distributed by Pen Marudhar nationwide. However, due to negotiations and issues related to VPF charges, the deal changed. Pen Marudhar is now handling distribution only in CI, CP, and Rajasthan, where the company has a strong presence. For the rest of India, JIO Star Studios and Viacom have taken charge of the release.

Just yesterday evening, a conflict broke out between Star Studios and PVR INOX regarding VPF charges. This led to a sudden hold on Jolly LLB 3 shows across all PVR Inox properties in India, surprising both audiences and trade. The issue was resolved by this morning around 10 am when Star Studios and Viacom agreed to bear the charges themselves. By 11 am, PVR INOX had reopened bookings across the country. While advances were sluggish earlier, ticket sales picked up pace after 2 pm today, which is a some sigh of relief and positive sign ahead of release.

Advance Booking Status

Ticket sales for the film picked up late last weekend and have maintained a steady pace - respectable, though not exceptional for a major franchise release. By 5 PM, around 28,000 tickets had been sold across leading chains like PVR INOX and CINEPOLIS. Advance bookings are projected to close in the 45,000–50,000 range.

This already places the film ahead of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari 2, which wrapped up its pre-sales at roughly 34,000 tickets. The makers are optimistic that strong spot bookings on Friday could help the film touch or surpass the 50,000-ticket milestone, setting it up for an opening above the ₹10 crore mark.

What to expect at the box office

Jolly LLB 3 is a very important release for both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. Industry experts had initially predicted a massive start of 20 crore plus, but CineInfinity estimates the opening day to be in the 10 to 11 crore range. The film is expected to show a strong jump on Saturday, if the neutral audience response and word of mouth turn out positive.

Industry watchers are looking at Jolly LLB 3 as a film that can grow big over the weekend. While the opening day will set the base, the real test lies in Saturday numbers.

Final Word on Jolly LLB 3

The upcoming release carries a lot of weight for both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. While the advance bookings are higher than Akshay’s last outing Kesari 2, they are still below the lofty expectations that some trade circles had set at the start. What gives hope is the film’s subject, which has always connected well with family audiences and multiplex viewers.

Jolly LLB 3 is positioned as more than just a Friday release. Its real strength will be tested from Saturday onwards, when positive reactions or strong word of mouth could lead to a sharp rise in collections. The legal comedy-drama space has worked well in the past and with both leads coming together for the first time in the same film, curiosity is already high.

For Akshay Kumar, this film could prove crucial in regaining momentum at the box office after a mixed run of recent releases. If the content connects with audiences, Jolly LLB 3 has the potential to enjoy steady footfalls beyond the weekend, giving both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi one of their more impactful results in recent years.
