Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Day 1 Trends Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer shows growth in noon shows aims for a good start

Jolly LLB 3 starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi had a slow beginning at the box office on Friday morning, but the film has started to show signs of growth as the day progresses. After opening with morning occupancy in the range of 10 to 11 percent across India, the Subhash Kapoor directorial picked up to around 18 percent in the noon shows, taking the overall day average so far in the 12 to 14 percent range.

According to early estimates, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to collect in the range of 10.5 to 11 crore net on Day 1. The film has scope to grow further depending on the walk-ins during the crucial evening and night shows. Encouragingly, advances for the late evening shows are looking healthy, which indicates a stronger jump is on the way.

The top multiplex chains have shown a steady trend till afternoon, while single screens in tier-2 and tier-3 cities are also beginning to pick up. Contribution from non-national chains is likely to be significant given the film’s mass appeal and relatable courtroom dramedy flavour. By 5:30 PM, the combined business of PVR-INOX  was already tracking at a solid pace, pointing towards a respectable finish by the end of the day.

What’s working in favour of Jolly LLB 3 is the positive word of mouth. Critics, Cineinfinity experts and the audience alike are praising the sharp dialogues, performances and the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi along with show stealer Saurabh Shukla. The film has found appreciation across both multiplexes and single screens, which could translate into stronger legs over the weekend.

Cineinfinity experts believe Jolly LLB 3 has the makings of a Saturday-Sunday film, where word of mouth brings a big push on Day 2. If the film holds its ground on Friday with a double-digit opening, Saturday and Sunday could see a sizeable jump, putting the first weekend collections in a healthy zone of 45 crore net.

Despite the hurdles earlier in the week due to distributor and multiplex disputes, Jolly LLB 3 is proving that a good film eventually finds its audience. With growth visible through the day and advances looking encouraging, Friday is shaping up to be a positive start for the franchise.

All eyes are now on the late evening and night shows to see how much the film can scale up and whether it can close the day on a strong note.
