Imtiaz Ali’s Next Film Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, and Vedang Raina Goes on Floors – A Heartfelt Story of Love and Longing

Excitement is building as acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali begins work on his next theatrical film, a heartfelt story of love, longing, and human connections. Produced by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment, the film brings together a stellar cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, Vedang Raina and the legendary Naseeruddin Shah.

Diljit Dosanjh, fresh off the success of his recent films Amar Singh Chamkila, Detective Sherdil and Sardaar Ji 3, continues to charm audiences with his versatility. He also has several exciting projects lined up, including his upcoming pan-India action-drama Border 2, where he portrays a Param Vir Chakra recipient and slated for release in 2026. 

Sharvari Wagh, known for her impactful performances in Bunty Aur Babli 2, Vedaa and Munjiya adds depth and freshness to the film. She is also gearing up for her upcoming projects, including Alpha, a YRF spy universe film set to release on 25 December 2025, where she stars alongside Alia Bhatt as elite intelligence agents navigating geopolitical threats.

Vedang Raina, rising as a talented new face, complements the trio with his engaging screen presence. Together, they promise a cinematic journey filled with emotion, wit, and memorable moments.

Adding to the film’s magic is the reunion of the celebrated creative trio – Imtiaz Ali, A.R. Rahman, and Irshad Kamil , whose previous collaborations have given audiences some of the most beloved music in Indian cinema. Their partnership ensures that the film’s soundtrack will be as captivating as its story.

The film recently wrapped its first schedule in Mumbai and is now shooting in Punjab, capturing the rich landscapes and authentic feel that Imtiaz Ali’s films are known for. With a narrative that blends contemporary romance with timeless emotions, the movie aims to resonate with audiences across generations.
